Co-creating the story of the digital development of Slovenian forestry

We are pleased and proud that, as providers of the Forestry Information System and key digital solutions for the eGozdarstvo project, we are co-creating the story of the digital development of Slovenian forestry.

In July, a presentation of the results of the eGozdarstvo project took place at the Slovenia Forest Service, where the participants were also addressed by our Head of Software Solutions, Anže Žnidaršič.

As Anže emphasized in his address:

“The digital solutions of eGozdarstvo are based on Slovenian technology, open standards, and open-source solutions, making them resilient to future shifts in the field of information technology. We have devoted significant attention to cybersecurity and the protection of personal data.

We are particularly proud of the spatial applications for mobile devices, which enable complete field work even without an internet connection. The information system is designed to allow for further upgrades in the future, including the introduction of artificial intelligence tools.

Projects like eGozdarstvo strengthen Slovenian technological excellence and contribute to ensuring that knowledge and capital remain in Slovenia.”

The eGozdarstvo project represents an important milestone in the digital development of Slovenian forestry and, at the same time, a starting point for the further implementation of advanced technological solutions. In the face of climate change, rising public expectations, and increasingly demanding natural resource management, reliable and securely managed data, transparently designed procedures, and professionally supported digital tools are becoming indispensable for the sustainable and responsible management of Slovenian forests.

We would like to thank the Slovenia Forest Service and the Ministry of Agriculture for their cooperation and trust.
