Flycom Technologies receives R&D funding to expand capacity in aerial remote sensing services

datum objave:

Flycom Technologies is one of 63 companies that have successfully obtained funding under the Public Call for Large Investments to Encourage Productivity and Competitiveness in the Republic of Slovenia (JR INVEST 2022-NOO). With the grant, the company will set up an airborne laser scanning and orthophotography system to increase its capacity and business performance in both domestic and foreign markets. The co-financed investment in tangible and intangible fixed assets will contribute to achieving higher added value per employee, environmentally responsible behaviour, increased energy and material efficiency and job retention in the company.

Filip Rojs, director: ““The co-financing of the investment in the establishment of an airborne laser scanning and orthophotography system will contribute significantly to the realisation of the company’s vision to strengthen its role as a key player in the field of airborne remote sensing within five years. The funds raised for the purchase of the airborne platform and the airborne spatial data acquisition equipment will enable us to successfully increase our operational capacity, optimise our services cost-effectively, introduce new services and products, and upgrade our sustainability-oriented business..”

Part of the co-funded investment is for the purchase of a Diamond DA42 MPP GeoStar airborne platform for aerial spatial data capture, and the rest of the investment is expected to be completed by the end of November 2024. The investment is funded by the European Union – NextGeneration EU.
