In the remote sensing department, we are looking to strengthen our team with assistance in data processing for aerial laser scanning and aerophotogrammetry.

The work will cover a wide range of areas:

• processing airborne laser scanning data and creating basic products such as georeferenced and classified point clouds, digital terrain models (DTM) and digital surface models (DSM);
• processing aerial photographs and aerotriangulation, 2D/3D digitization, production of (true) orthophotos, and creation of photogrammetric point clouds;
• quality control of various data acquisition phases and final products, as well as report preparation.

During your work, you will become familiar with the use of various software tools such as GrafNav, AeroOffice, Applanix POSPac, RiProcess, IGIPlan, Topoflight, TerraSolid, LAStools, MATCH-AT, SURE, ESRI, FME, QGIS and GDAL.

What do we expect?

• A degree in geodesy and geoinformatics is preferred; candidates from related fields involving spatial data processing are also encouraged to apply.
• Since the work is very diverse and varied, candidates are expected to be willing to learn and gradually master a wide spectrum of remote sensing data acquisition and processing. Both initiative and a willingness to learn and pursue further education are extremely important.
• Basic knowledge of GIS software (working with spatial data – raster and vector).
• Good spatial awareness and understanding of spatial data.
• Active knowledge of the English language (written and spoken). Knowledge of German will also be beneficial (but is not required).
• Logical thinking skills and efficient problem-solving abilities.
• A sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently..
