At Flycom Technologies, we are expanding our team and establishing an AI Department, which will be crucial for the development of advanced solutions in the field of aerophotogrammetry, remote sensing, geodetic data processing and 3D digital environmental models.

We are looking for an experienced artificial intelligence expert who will take on the role of Head of the AI Department, technically guide development, and actively participate in the development of production AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• leading and developing the AI department and the company’s AI strategy,
• planning and developing AI solutions for:
  • analysis of aerial photographs and LiDAR data,
  • automatic object classification and segmentation,
  • 3D reconstructions and digital twins,
• development and implementation of ML/AI models in production environments,
• establishment of an AI/ML/MLOps development environment and infrastructure,
• leading technical development teams and mentoring colleagues,
• collaboration with experts in geodesy, photogrammetry, and GIS,
• participation in the development of new products and R&D projects,
• participation in European and industrial spatial digitalization projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• high level of knowledge in machine learning, deep learning and computer vision,
• experience with developing production AI systems,
• experience with LLM models, agents or generative AI,
• knowledge of the following areas:
  • computer vision (segmentation, detection, tracking, 3D vision),
  • multiview geometry / stereovision,
  • geospatial / image-based AI processing,
• experience with the Python ecosystem (such as PyTorch, OpenCV, scikit-learn),
• understanding of MLOps / DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, cloud infrastructure),
• ability to technically lead teams and make architectural decisions,
• experience with developing complex systems from prototype to production,
• independence, initiative, and strategic thinking ability.

Candidates with experience in the following areas are preferred:

• leading AI development and technical teams (lead AI engineer / AI researcher),
• development of LLM agents and advanced AI systems for 3D data analysis,
• computer vision systems for real industrial problems (segmentation, 3D reconstruction, stereo mapping),
• experience with embedded / edge AI systems and model optimization,
• ability to design a complete AI architecture (from data to production),
• strong research background (ML, statistics, experimental work),
• DevOps/MLOps competencies (CI/CD, cloud, monitoring, pipelines),
• experience with interdisciplinary work (AI + engineering + industry).
